Zoom today announced a partnership with Google Cloud to adopt and contribute to Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol, marking a significant step forward in advancing multi-agent AI collaboration in enterprise workflows.

As demonstrated at Google I/O 2025, Zoom is integrating with Google Cloud Agentspace to enable seamless meeting scheduling through AI agents, saving Zoom and Gmail users valuable time going back and forth to schedule meetings. Expected to launch later this summer, the initial implementation showcases how A2A-enabled agents can identify meeting context in Gmail, automatically schedule Zoom Meetings, and update Google Calendar — all while keeping participants informed and launching sessions at the appropriate time.

“Zoom is an open platform, and this integration builds on our investment in Zoom AI Companion and its multi-agent collaboration capabilities. Our contribution to the A2A protocol enables deeper integration with Google Cloud and other third-party platforms, giving customers flexibility and choice,” said Ross Mayfield, Head of Product — Workplace AI and Strategic Integrations at Zoom. “This collaboration will help bring AI agents together in our open ecosystem, making it possible for external agents like ServiceNow NowAssist to run in AI Companion, and for AI Companion to run on other A2A platforms like Google Agentspace and ServiceNow AgentFabric.”

Google Cloud recently announced the A2A protocol as an open standard for AI agent communication, and it is gaining rapid adoption across the vendor landscape. A2A protocol creates a standardized framework for multi-agent collaboration, which helps facilitate more efficient automation and AI integration across workplace tools.

The Agent2Agent protocol establishes a critical framework for AI agents to communicate seamlessly across platforms. Through our partnership with Zoom, we will remove silos that have limited AI’s potential in the workplace by empowering agents to collaborate regardless of their platform or system of origin.

Key benefits of Zoom's A2A integration include:

  • Reduced technical barriers in cross-platform AI integration, enabling seamless interaction between Zoom AI Companion and external A2A-enabled agents without custom integration code..
  • Enhanced workflow automation and improved efficiency for enterprise customers.
  • Future support for more sophisticated multi-agent AI interactions.

Zoom will continue contributing to the development of the A2A protocol and ecosystem, working closely with partners to expand capabilities that help customers maximize their AI investments across their technology stack.
